Sandstone was founded in 1993 by Nancy C. Neuman, Ph.D. During the past 23 years, the firm has carried out projects in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Illinois, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Virginia, and West Virginia. Many clients have provided repeat business, attesting to the firm’s high quality of work.
Staff members are familiar with guidelines and procedures established by the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) as well as various state and local agencies, especially New York State SEQRA and New York City CEQR legislation. Staff members have attended training for the use of computer software models such as MOVES14, TNM (Traffic Noise Model), CadnaA, and AERMOD. Employees are also certified in community noise enforcement in the State of New Jersey.
